Bed bugs. Literally! Hotel stories

Ok so 2 nights ago as we are settling in  to bed, Henry leaps out without saying a word and turns the light on. I thought he got a sudden urge to do exercise or something. I hadn't seen him leap out of bed that fast before.

Turns out something was tickling his leg and it wasn't me...it was a big brown cricket. Not so bad considering the very good possibility that it could have been a cockroach (there are cockroach traps everywhere in this tiny hotel room).

Today as I am relaxing on my bed in the middle of the afternoon, I feel something tickling my armpit and look down to discover the insect below (see image). You can imagine the scream and shimmy I did to get off the bed thinking it was a wasp! Not sure what it is but you can be sure we are ready to make another hotel move (our fourth in 3 weeks) to get out of this room!

Henry says that is a brave insect to be crawling anywhere near my armpit in this heat. Lol. Since the bug didn't bite me, I'll claim my aromas as my personal insect repellent! Haha.

And as the saying goes, sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs bite!
